{"id":20557,"date":"2018-03-29T20:47:21","date_gmt":"2018-03-29T20:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pilarelgueta.cl\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=20557"},"modified":"2024-07-24T01:49:50","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T01:49:50","slug":"transfig-1-2-3","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.pilarelgueta.cl\/en\/portfolio\/transfig-1-2-3\/","title":{"rendered":"TRANS FIG 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Project first carried out during a brief residency at the MAVI Museum of Visual Arts (2016) and later in the context of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/8 of the Whole,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a solo show held in June 2017 at the MAVI Museum of Visual Arts (Santiago, Chile).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TransFig 1<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a work around the mediation and degradation of glaciers photographs -using old photocopying machines- and the subsequent materialization of their results in a gif, a video installation and a series of serigraphs. Hyper-mediated images: the small errors of each transfer of the photocopied landscape, one after the other, become massive and generate changes in the image, which on a large scale ends up generating a progression of elusive, degraded or transfigured images. Images that become distorted and lose sharpness, but also expand in size and navigate between ink particles and screen glitches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pilarelgueta.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Captura-de-pantalla-2021-05-23-a-las-18.19.01-copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full
